Northern Wheatgrass
Perennial cool season native grass, similar to Western Wheatgrass but faster to establish, more drought tolerant needing only 8 inches of rain per year, and less productive. Forms a sod, preferring medium to coarse soils, tolerating some salinity and periodic flooding, and reaching approximately 3 feet tall.
Recommended seeding rate of 7 pounds per acre. Seeding depth 1/2 inch or less.
