Chicory

This broadleaf warm season, short-lived perennial is good for grazing and has strong regrowth due to a long tap root and leafy greens. NDSU and MSU concluded that Chicory should be planted under irrigation in order to ensure an acceptable stand establishment.

Recommended seeding rate of 4 to 5 pounds per acre (broadcast), 2 to 3 pounds per acre (drilled). 1/8 to 1/4 seedigng depth.
